Primary Workshop - Mary Anning: a fossil hunter story
Saturday November 16, 2024 10:30am - 11:30am GMT
The Mary Anning Project is a multidisciplinary approach for pupils aged 9 to 11 years, helping them learn about fossils and evolution, while simultaneously nurturing creativity, a love of learning and developing the necessary knowledge and skills to support them in life. Find out how you can use our multi-award-winning film and interactive resources to engage your young people in the story of Mary Anning, the fossil hunter. Supporting dialogic teaching, the Mary Anning Project helps pupils express and share ideas through group and whole class discussion. We hope you can join us.

Primary Workshop - Seashore Science
Saturday November 16, 2024 12:00pm - 1:00pm GMT
Learning science at the beach offers all the benefits of outdoor learning as well as specific opportunities to encourage awareness of environmental issues such as plastic pollution and global warming. Seashore Science is a set of 15 ‘ready to go’ practical science lessons, requiring minimal preparation and equipment, and linked to UK science curricula. In this workshop we will carry out some of the practical activities and consider how these support children’s learning.
